John Moloney

John Moloney has been a professional entertainer for the past decade. He is a highly sought-after comic and musician, so we are thrilled to have John perform at our Crack Comedy Club. In the last two years he has worked in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the USA, Germany, Hong Kong, Dubai, Amsterdam, and China. Following the success of a previous trip to the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, John enjoyed a triumphant return in 2005, where The Gazette newspaper said of him:

" Seriously smokin’ jokes . . . one of the funniest from this year’s comedy festival"

Prior to this he was invited to attend the Just For Laughs Roadshow in Singapore. In 2003, John was the UK Representative on the Just For laughs National Tour of Canada, playing to 75,000 people in 25 nights.

Winner of the Best Live Performer award for two years running at the London Comedy Festival, voted by the membership of Jongleurs, the largest chain of comedy clubs in Europe, John has become one of Britain's most in-demand comedy acts, a true comic and musical talent.

John appears regularly at The Comedy Store and Jongleurs, and has performed many times at the Edinburgh Festival, playing to sell-out audiences. John received critical acclaim for his show Moloney Live at the Edinburgh Festival 2001. This was followed by the sell-out FHM Edinburgh & Beyond Tour.

John was voted Best Of The Festival at the 1999 Sydney International Comedy Festival in a people's poll.

In Autumn of 2005, John was invited to tour the US and played 14 Sold out venues of over 1000 capacity.

John co-wrote on the Olivier Award winning Jack Dee Show in London’s West End and over the past couple of years, has appeared as a regular Presenter on Richard and Judy (Channel 4), guested on Des and Mel (ITV), The Wright Stuff (channel 5), World Of Comedy (paramount), Lorraine Live (Sky One), Live at Jongleurs (ITV), The Comedy Store (Channel 5), They Think It's All Over (BBC1), Have I Got News For You (BBC2), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2) and The Des O'Connor Show (ITV). He was nominated by the Comedy Store in the category Best Live Stand-Up at the British Comedy Awards.

John also lends his creative skills to other performers. He has recently written for Lily Savage on Lily Live (ITV), Harry Hill on Harry Hill’s TV Burp (ITV) and The Sketch Show (ITV).
